Hiromart Gallery is delighted to announce the opening of an 8-person exhibition, entitled Turning Point, as this marks our 100th gallery show.
This exhibition showcases new works by the following local artists: Yuka Goto, Sachie Kashima, Josephine Rossing, Masanobu Sakakibara, Ritsuko Sato, Karin Takiguchi, Hideki Tarui, and Shinsuke Tomita.

Yuka Goto: Born in Tokyo, in 1978. Graduated from the Musashino Art University, painting, in 2002. She won the AX Manga newcomer award and Minami Shinbo award in 2000. In 2002, her painting was accepted for the choice prize. In 2012, her solo-show was hosted at the Musashino Art University. She is the author of the comic book Seigitai (4 volumes), the painting book Tetsudou Gashu and the picture book Collection-san (writer: Hideo Furukawa, picture: Yuka Goto.)
She expresses pleasure, joy and energy from daily life. We presented her solo exhibition in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and the 2 person exhibition: 2012, 2014 and 2018.
Sachie Kashima: Born in Saitama in 1979. Graduated from Musashino Art University, painting in 2002. She produces surreal paintings with color composition.
We presented her solo exhibition in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2021, and a 2 person exhibition in 2014.
Josephine Rossing: Born in Stockholm, Sweden. She studied art and graduated from Halmstad Art School in 1997, and Domen Art School in Sweden in 2001. Her works have been exhibited in Gothenburg, Sweden, Lyon, France, and Tokyo. Currently she lives in Tokyo.
She depicts images from her memories, adding light, sounds, and colors. By doing this, she produces alternative images based on actual ones. We presented her solo exhibition in 2024.
Masanobu Sakakibara: Born in 1981 in Kitami, Hokkaido. Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art , painting in 2004. Currently he lives in Saitama pref.
In 2019, his work was accepted for the Shell Art Award exhibition. He pursues the depiction of imaginary video game scenes with rich, deep colors, as well as light and dark shadows by using traditional painting techniques. We presented his solo exhibition in 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2024.
Ritsuko Sato: Born in Fukui pref., she grew up in Onomichi, Hirohima pref. Currently she lives in Kurashiki, Okayama pref. Graduated from the Nagoya Women’s University and also studied at the Art Students League of New York. She is known as an artist who produce vivacious artworks with bright colors, and her works exhibited at the museums and galleries in both domestic and international, such as solo-shows at the Kurashiki City Art Museum, Nagi Museum Of Contemporary Art in Okayama, Fukuyama Museum of Art in Hiroshima, Philadelphia International Institute Gallery in Philadelphia.
We presented her solo exhibition in 2012 and 2014.
Karin Takiguchi: Born in 1986, Yamagata. Currently, she lives in Oita. She is a Musashino Art University Correspondence Course dropout.
She works on the pursuit of expression with her interest in ghost stories, and also paintings that depicted people and their living. In 2016, her solo show was hosted at the Sagae City Museum of Art. In recent years, her painting was selected for the 58th Oita-ken-Bijyutsu exhibition in 2022. She is also a recipient of the 31st Kenshin Bijyutsu kenshin-douyukai award. We presented her solo exhibition in 2016 and 2023, and a 2 person exhibition in 2018.
Hideki Tarui: Born in Tokyo, in 1988. Graduated from Tama Art University, painting - oil painting, in 2012, and received an MFA degree in painting in 2014. His work also selected for prizes in competitions, e.g. Tokyo Wonder Wall in 2010, and Tokyo Wonder Seeds in 2014 and 2016.
In his paintings, he builds motives in the abstract by focusing his intuitive judgment. We presented his solo exhibition in 2018, 2019, and 2022.
Shinsuke Tomita: Born in Aichi pref. in 1980. Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art , painting in 2004. Currently he lives in Kanazawa.
He makes oil paintings and prints. In contrast with his painting concept, he takes a certain amount of creative enjoyment in the print itself. He does this without the benefit of viewing the accuracy of the image until it is finished being printed. We presented his solo exhibition of prints in 2021 and 2022.
