Hiromart Gallery is pleased to invited you to the gallery’s annual group show WINTER SHOW – works by gallery artists.

The exhibition this time features a selection of works by Christopher Dunlap (American) , Robin Fry (Canadian) and Moki (German).

Christopher Dunlap

Born in Pullman, Washington.

Currently he lives and works in New York City.

Dunlap received his BFA from University of Washington and his MFA from Massachusetts College of Art.

He has had solo-exhibitions at GCA Gallery, Brooklyn in 2015, Sardine Gallery, Brooklyn in 2017 and 2019, and Hiromart Gallery, Tokyo  in 2019. His work has also been exhibited in various group shows including Site 131, Dallas, TX; Spring Break Art Fair, NYC. He has been reviewed in The New York Times, ArtFCity and Travel Magazine.



Robin Fry

Fry has been developing his abstract figurative painting practice for over two decades. He studied art at Emily Carr University of Art and Design and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Born in Halifax he has lived and worked in Vancouver, Toronto and Berlin.

Informed by European modernism, vintage graphic art and various aspects of the everyday he is continuously exploring technique and experimenting with material while delving into the darker regions of the psyche.

He has had solo exhibitions with Helen Pitt Gallery (Vancouver), Paul Petro (Toronto) and Hiromart Gallery (Tokyo) and Weird Things (Toronto)



moki

Born in 1982 in Brilon, Germany. Currently she lives and works in Berlin. She graduated fine art at the University of Fine Arts of Hamburg (HFBK), Germany. Her artworks exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions in North America, Europe and Asia. She is a scholarship holder of Cusanuswerk, Dietze Foundation and Kampnagel. Goethe Institut invited her to do lectures, workshops and an exhibition.

Her artbooks are: “Asleep in a foreign place” (2006), and “How to Disappear”(2010), and “Shelter” (2016) published by Gingko Press. Her graphic novels are:  “Wandering ghost” (2011) and “Sumpfland” (2019) published by Replodukt.
