Hiromart Gallery is delighted to announce the opening of the gallery’s annual group exhibition Winter Show – works by gallery artists.

This time features works by 3 artists, Robin Fry, Sachie Kashima and Masanobu Sakakibara.



Winter Show

December 1 -19, 2021

January 12 – 23, 2022

Hours:         1 to 7 pm, Closed on Mondays, Tuesdays
                   Appointment only on Sundays except December 19 and January 23.

Robin Fry

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1976. Currently based in Canada, he has lived and worked in Vancouver, Toronto and Berlin.

Robin Fry has been developing his abstract figurative painting practice for over two decades. He studied art at Emily Carr University of Art and Design and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.

Informed by European modernism, vintage graphic art and various aspects of the everyday he is continuously exploring technique and experimenting with material while delving into the darker regions of the psyche.

He has had solo exhibitions with Helen Pitt Gallery (Vancouver), Paul Petro (Toronto) and Hiromart Gallery (Tokyo) and recently his work was included in curatorial projects at soon.tw (Montreal), Peanuts Gallery (Vancouver), Weird Things (Toronto) and Loyal Gallery (Stockholm).






Sachie Kashima

Born in Saitama in 1979.

Graduated from Musashino Art University, painting in 2002.

She has exhibited her works at group shows and a solo-show since 2005.

Her debut exhibition at Hiromart Gallery was a 2 artist show with Yuka Goto entitled Freedom held in 2014, then her works featured at her solo-shows; The Shapes in 2015, Tankaholic in 2017, Hidden story of the house next door in 2018, Wish List in 2021, and other group shows.












Masanobu Sakakibara

Born in 1981 in Kitami, Hokkaido.

He studied painting at Kanazawa College of Art in Ishikawa pref., and graduated in 2004.

Currently lives and works in Saitama pref.

In 2019, his work was accepted for the Shell Art Award exhibition.

His debut solo exhibition with Hiromart Gallery was held in 2020.
