In this June 4, we will celebrate our One Year Anniversary.

We are pleased to announce the opening of “Planet Sounds” by Tokyo based artist Yuka Goto.

This is our first show with Japanese artist.

The show contains new collection of her acrylic paintings she made for the solo-show.

Artist Statement on “Planet Sounds”

Various things express each wonderful point in our world.

I want to describe the pleasure evoked by the shape, color and rhythm of a city and nature. I want to express the world that giving off new energy through being together with viewer and these lives I described its connection and circulation.

1978 - Born in Tokyo

2000 - Received AX Comic New face Award/Minami Snimbo Award

2002 - Graduated from the Musashino Art University, Painting

2002 – Accepted for The 125th Choice award


She had her first solo-show in 2002. Since then she made a shutter mural on the Kichijoji Basara Books store and she is attending many projects such as HETAUMA & Underground summit Japan/USA, Colombia coffee V.A.Cup Exhibition, Cow Parade project, EPOS-card project and so on.

Furthermore, in 2006, she made a painting for the album cover of OO Telesa “Kochira Rock N Roll Tengoku” and paintings for their animation music-video. The following year, she also made paintings for the animation music-video of podo’s debut album “Girl & Rule.” In 2007, she made and released Zines with NYC-based artist Misaki Kawai: MIX JUICE -2007, Nijiiro Kousaten - 2008.

Currently she is writing the serial comic “Seigitai” from AX Seirinkogeisha.

She is the author of Seigitai 1, Seigitai 2, Seigitai 3, issued from Seirinkogeisha, and a painting book “Tetsudou Gashu” issued from Yoruhiro-pro.
